Annie Wakini Mwangi is the Co- Founder and Director of Meved Dairy Farm.
She joined Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), Nairobi in 1979 and graduated as a Kenya registered nurse (KRN) in December 1982 being awarded as the best practical nurse in her class.
In 1983 Annie was posted to Nyeri Provincial Hospital where she worked till 1986 when she went back to KMTC, Nairobi for her diploma in midwifery. In 1988 she joined Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) after her Midwifery graduation as a Kenya Registered Nurse/Midwife.
In 1991 she was trained in lactation management at Welstat,San Diego, California, USA.
In 1995 she did her diploma in reproductive health in Uppsalla University, Stockholm, Sweden.
In 1996 she started the Kenya Midwifery Chapter and was its chairperson till 2001.
In 2003 she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Nairobi of University.
In 2004 she joined the Population Council, a non-governmental research organization on matters relating to the society, human reproduction, maternal and newborn health.
In 2010 she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Medical Sociology from the University of Nairobi and later in the year left Population Council for Meved Dairy Farm which she and her husband founded in 2008.
