Tosheka Textiles CEO, Lucy Lau Bigham is a native of Makueni County. She is a textile surface designer with a BA in Design from University of Nairobi and an MA in International Business Analysis from University of Northampton. She has extensive experience in development and management of economic empowerment projects and textile production workshops in Kenya and USA. Lucy has been instrumental in initiating development projects such as The Women’s Network Center, Kwetu Training Center for Sustainable Development in Mombasa. She sits on the board of directors for Marafiki Arts A not for Profit organization in USA and board of trustees of Imarisha in Kenya. She is the founding director of Tosheka Textiles Ltd, currently operating as the CEO on a full time basis and is instrumental in introducing and establishing Eri Silk Production in Kenya. Tosheka Textiles Ltd specializes in production and marketing of eco and ethical textiles, producing ‘green textiles’ using natural and recycled materials or in ways that are environmentally friendly. Tosheka Textiles has developed a supply and value chain that engages the community in its textile production.
